RCS Logistics Announces the opening of RCS Logistics DFW – Dallas, Texas

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Bomboy, as General Manager RCS - Southwest Region. Along with Michael’s appointment we are happy to announce the office opening of  RCS Logistics-Dallas, Texas (DFW).

The commencement of direct operations in the Southwest Region will further perpetuate our expansion strategy, enabling RCS Logistics to efficiently service our customers, and enhance overall freight facilitation and performance within that region.

Michael brings over 20 successful years of experience in global transportation, sales, and operations management. After receiving a Bachelors of Science related to transportation from Texas A&M University. Michael has worked for various steamship companies, trucking conglomerates, and freight forwarders to develop in-depth transportation experience and expertise. His deep rooted knowledge in sales experience and operations leadership provides a solid foundation to spearhead our Southwest Regional expansion.

Amanda has been with RCS Logistics in customer service for 4 years and will assume her new role effective immediately. RCS Logistics Welcomes Douglas Haring and Bill Wilkening

As we look to continually manage our growth, improve our product, and look to new markets, we feel that Doug and Bill will be a tremendous asset both internally and commercially.  RCS Logistics will be looking to improve our foot hold on the Latin and South America markets and feel it is necessary to our customers to provide a solution out of these regions.  We also know that MIA is the gateway in and out of these markets so we are making a significant investment in MIA with a new office and 30,000 sq ft CFS which will be operational in February 2010.

Douglas Haring, Senior Vice President, Operations

Douglas Haring graduated from Arizona State University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.   He brings 26 years of international transportation and logistics experience to RCS. 

For the last 3 years he served as the Corporate Vice President for a privately held Asia based global transportation and logistics services provider, in which he was responsible for North and South American business.  He also served on the company’s Global Operating Committee.

 
Prior to the above, Doug has held VP of Global Accounts and VP of Sales & Marketing positions.
   

Doug’s extensive operational and sales experience will open the door to new business development opportunities and add additional value to our current services and customers. 
 

Bill Wilkening, Director Business Development

Bill Wilkening has joined our company as Director, Business Development, based in Miami Florida . One of Bill’s first responsibilities will be working with Patrick Heaney , Brian Heaney and Douglas Haring to open a new RCS office and CFS at MIA International.  Bill will also be our “point man” on strengthening our South America agents and services.  Bill brings several years of sales knowledge to our organization, and will be managing his commercial relationships throughout the US .

Bill graduated from the University of South Carolina with a B.S in Government and International Studies and has worked in the field of International Logistics for 17 years. Bill resides in Miami, Florida with his wife and 2 sons.

RCS Logistics Earns 3 Year Extension For CTPAT Validation Through 2012

In June 2009, Brian Heaney, President and Evan Rosen, Vice President accompanied US Customs and Border patrol on a site inspection of the RCS logistics office and CFS facility in Manila, Philippines. Based on their findings, RCS Logistics was granted a 3 year extension as a validated partner of CTPAT through 2012. Brian Heaney said “We are very happy to have been granted our validation once again and to support the CTPAT program. We take security seriously at RCS Logistics as do our customers. We will continue to do what we can to improve our process and operation in way that is in line with the CTPAT program both in the US and at origin.”

RCS Logistics Welcomes Doug Hoover

RCS Logistics is pleased to announce the hiring of Doug Hoover as our General Sales Manager, West Coast on April 28th, 2009. With over 17 years of transportation and logistics experience, Doug will be headquartered in the Los Angeles RCS office. 

Doug graduated with a BA in International Relations from Chico State University . Prior to joining RCS, he started his career with Tower Group International in Seattle as a broker. Moving to San Francisco , he became an ocean import manager with Expeditors. In 1997, he joined Kuehne & Nagel as a sales representative focusing on total supply chain solutions for multinational organizations. He was promoted overseas to Hong Kong in 2000 to further develop and manage the transpacific trade. 

Doug's vast logistical experience will serve a diverse group of clients with interests throughout the world. Please support and welcome Doug as we look forward to RCS expanding its footprint as a premiere logistics provider on the West Coast.

RCS Logistics takes "2009 Rookie of the Year Award"

On Wed FEB 11 in Hong Kong , RCS Logistics received the 2009 Rookie of the Year award at the 9 th Annual Limited Logistics Service Awards dinner. This award was given to RCS Logistics due to a seamless integration into the Limited business through a 98.5% on time performance for the first 9 months of handling the LLS business in Hong Kong , Cambodia , Manila , and Jakarta .  In addition, RCS Logistics had the required EDI messages up and running in 30 days. In attendance at the dinner representing RCS Logistics was Philip Liu - Managing Director - Asia , Brian Heaney - President, and Evan Rosen – Vice President – Sales.  Evan Rosen said; “It is an honor to be recognized for the hard work of the global team handling the Limited/Mast business. To have implemented this business just 9 months ago and receive the positive feedback via this recognition is a true testament to RCS Logistics ability to deliver on commitments.”

The Port of Charleston and the World Trade Council of Middle Tennessee held the 2008 Ports & Flags Night at the Loews Vanderbilt Plaza on Thursday, October 30 th . RCS Logistics participated in this annual event draws over 400 International business executives representing Middle TN's finest businesses. Each year the World Trade Council of Middle TN gives out over $6000 worth of scholarships to outstanding and deserving students.
